We have entered into April. It means major film studios have started to lock suitable release dates for their films for this year’s fall season, enabling them to gain an upper hand over their rival studios. Movies released during the fall season are often considered best candidates for major movie awards. From Searchlight Pictures, we will get ‘A Real Pain’ in theatres worldwide on October 18. Before its global theatrical release, the film will receive a limited release on October 10. It stars Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin.
‘’A Real Pain’ will revolve around mismatched cousins Benji (Kieran Culkin) and David (Jesse Eisenberg) who reunite after many years for a tour across Poland to honour their beloved grandma. However, their adventure slowly turns into something else after the duo’s old tensions and conflicts resurface and problems associated with their family’s history start troubling them.
Apart from Eisenberg and Culkin, the film’s cast consists of talents like Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Liza Sadovy, Ellora Torchia, Kurt Egyiawan, and Daniel Oreskes.
A Real Pain premiered at this year’s Sundance festival on January 20. The Jesse Eisenberg directional received critical acclaim at the festival, receiving particular praise for Eisenberg’s direction and Kieran Culkin’s scene-stealing performance. Stay tuned for more updates.
