An ensemble cast, some dark secrets, revenge, two families and Bejoy Nambiar. This is what gives us “Taish”. The trailer dropped this Thursday and one can get hooked just by the sheer mystery of how the trailer flows.
The eeriness, dialogues, lavishness, gunshots, fight and a bloodbath tells us enough about how the story might go but can we be clear enough? No. The story though is classified in the genre of action and thriller, it is a lot more. There can be seen, a clear tension of mystery unfolding that can be seen in all the faces, the flashes of scenes in the trailer itself but it is so meticulously put together that one might not even be able to guess what it is that is holding everything together.
The premise of the movie is set to be a lavish wedding, which follows the story of two families. One of the families is into business, while the other one is a family of criminals and killers. The clash between these two will bring the nail biting drama and action into it.
Another very unique thing about Taish will be that it is a first of its kind movie that will be released as a series as well. Exclusively premiering on Zee5, it is set to be released on 29th of October. Taish will garner attention for one more thing, the ensemble cast. Starring Jim Sarbh, Kriti Kharbanda, Harshvardhan Rane, Pulkit Samrat, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Zoa Morani, Abhimanyu Singh, Armaan Khera and Saloni Batra, it will be another eye catching feature because every lives in intertwined with each other.
Bollywood always had an aversion for movies that had a huge cast because it was a common thought that it might not do well and the actors think they won’t get enough of screen timing or even dialogues for that matter. Bejoy Nambiar talked about how this is a success story for him as he could not only gather the actors but also the right producers for this movie+series. We might have seen failures when it comes to an ensemble cast but let’s not forget some of the great successes have been projects that had ensemble casts. Examples being Sholay, Kabhi khushi Kabhie gham, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and some more.
