Netflix has ordered a second season for the true crime series ‘My Lover My Killer’. The series told six different stories and was loved by audiences.
The first season of ‘My Lover My Killer’ came out on the 25th of May in 2021 and had a pretty good response from audiences. The crime documentary had a total of 6 episodes and it told the stories of obsessive lovers and the limits they crossed in a relationship. The docu series originally aired on Channel 5 in 2021.
The series had six different stories told on a similar premise of relationships gone wrong and gruesome crimes happened due to possessiveness and jealousy. The close friends of the victims share space in the documentary with detectives and police officers who helped investigate the cases. It featured people like Will Hanharan, Roberta Babb, Tony Kent and various psychologists and psychiatrists who explored the mindspace of the criminals and researched the reason that made them commit the crimes they did.
FirstLook TV and Abacus Media Rights closed the deal with Netflix for the second season of the show. The second season too will tell similar stories of victims that were killed by their own partners. There is one more reason behind the returning of the show, and that is, as the makers promise, to raise a consciousness and awareness about similar crimes. There is a huge amount of criminal activities recorded and unrecorded that were committed to a romantic partner and this series ‘My Lover My Killer’ intends to contribute something substantial so that no more people are harmed by their partners in such relationships.
Other details such as which stories the second season will take and when it will be released are not declared yet. We shall be sharing all the further information about it in future.
