Some films grow on you. You might have despised them at the first time, there could have been many flaws in them but by the time you give them a thought, you have already fallen for the film.
This is exactly the case with the film we are telling you about. It is called Laal Kaptaan and is available to stream on Prime Video. You might have heard about the film but very few people have watched it. It was a financial disaster and hardly anyone bothered to tolerate a 2.5 hours film that moves at a snail’s pace.
Also, the concept was very flat at a superficial level so most people just skipped it. Now it’s time to repent for those mistakes and watch the film.
Laal Kaptaan is about a Sadhu called Gossain. He is looking to kill Subedar Rahmat Khan because of an ancient revenge that needs to be taken. The film also features Manav Vij, Zoya Hussain, and Deepak Dobriyal along with a short cameo of Sonakshi Sinha.
There are some brutal unsettling scenes while some are as raw as they can be. The portrayal by Saif Ali Khan unleashes terror and he reminds us of his own epic performance in Omkara.
Laal Kaptaan is ignored but it doesn’t deserve to stay buried in the earth. If you are ready for a 152 minute investment and can tolerate a raw film then you must check out Laal Kaptaan on Prime Video.
