Ma Dong-seok stars in another awesome gangster thriller and this time as a rough and tough police officer. ‘The Outlaws’ is a South Korean movie that tells the story of a special task force in Korean Police that is made to deal with the Chinese-Korean gangs that deal with drug cartels and dangerous crime syndicates. ‘The Outlaws‘ is written and directed by Kang Yoon-sung and stars actors like Ma Dong-seok, Yoon Kye-sang, Jo Jae-yoon, Choi Gwi-hwa and many others. The movie had its theatrical release on October 3 in 2017 and was a massive hit. The movie was followed by a sequel named ‘The Roundup’ in 2022 and another installment named ‘The Roundup: No Way Out’.
The movie is based on real events and tells the story of a police detective’s efforts to keep peace with two rival Chinese-Korean gangs in an area under his surveillance. The civilians are disturbed for a long time for their unruly behavior and there is a deadline given by the authorities to catch Jang-Chen, a ruthless gangster.
The cinematography of The Outlaws is handled by Ju Sung-lim and Kim Yong-seong.
