Tom Cruise has produced and acted in some of the most ambitious films of Hollywood and some of them are not much talked about. Here is a film that you should watch if you have not watched it already.
‘Vanilla Sky’ came out in 2001 and is a massive science fiction thriller. The movie is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. The movie tells the story of David Aames, a self-centred and arrogant publishing magnate who is in search for the dream girl. A suicide attempt by his former lover leaves his face disfigured. However, he gets himself a costly surgery and his handsome face is returned again, but he notices some changes in himself after the surgery.
The story is unique and the execution of the film is beautiful. Cruise is awesome as always. Penelope Cruz plays the female lead opposite Cruise. There are other actors in the movie like Kurt Russell, Jason Lee, Noah Taylor, Cameron Diaz etc.
Vanilla Sky is written and directed by filmmaker Cameron Crowe. It is adapted from the novel Abre los Ojos
by Alejandro Amenábar and Mateo Gil. The cinematography is handled by John Toll and the music is given by Nancy Wilson.
