A new sports drama is getting released from A24 this year. The movie has been named ‘The Iron Claw’ and it will be starring actors like Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White. It will have a Christmas release.
The Iron Claw is still in the post production round and it will not be running in the current film festivals. The film is written and directed by Sean Durkin who is knowm for films like Martha Marcy May Marlene. The film will tell the story of the renowned Von Erich family. The family was well knowm for its wrestling associations. The brothers of the family were fierce fighters inside the ring but outside the ring they had to go through multiple tragedies. The chain of incidents was known as the Von Erich Curse.
Zac Efron plays the role of Kevin Von Erich, Jeremy Allen White plays the role of Kerry Von Erich. There are other actors like Harris Dickinson, Lily James, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney and more. White is said to be top invested in the role and he has gained 40 pounds for the movie. Last year, a still of Zac Efron in the boxing ring went viral.
The first look of the movie is also revealed today, which features the lead actors with beefed up bodies. It looks like a light moment with their partners and family.
The Iron Claw will be releasing on the 22nd of December. It will clash with the animated movie ‘Migration’ which releases on 22 as well. There will be tough competition as Jason Momoa’s ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ too is going to release during the same time, on 20.
