Helmed by the venerated director Blessy, Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) is an exemplary tale of survival in the most brutal situations, which is adapted from well renowned writer, Benyamin’s book of the same title, which in itself is based off of a true story. The movie outlines Najeeb Muhammad, portrayed by the one and only Prithviraj Sukumaran, and his laborious journey abroad in search of a brighter future. The movie entails every single aspect of his experience and more.
The sheer perseverance of Blessy and Prithviraj, much like the central character in the story is something to be commended. The idea for the film was conceived 16 years back, took 10 years of scripting, 6 years to film. The delay was mainly due to the search for the right producer that could help bring to fruition Blessy’s visions for this masterpiece. It can truly be considered as Mollywoods magnum opus of recent times. Amala Paul is cast as Sainu, his wife and actors Jimmy Jean Louis, Talib Al Balushi and Rik Aby are part of this ensemble cast.
The movie is ready to be released theatrically on March 28th, 2024 and will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada as well. However, the OTT and TV rights for the movie have not been solidified yet, with reports and rumours stating that Hotstar has acquired OTT rights, and satellite rights going to Asianet TV. Regardless, make sure to catch this movie as it has the potential to rewrite the history of cinema globally.
