Zee5 has dropped the official trailer for its upcoming original film ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ and its an amalgamation of some fun, romance and thrill with a supernatural spin to it. Helmed by Indrajit Nattoji (‘Aagey Se Right’), ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ will premiere exclusively on Zee5 on 29th October, 2021.
The trailer for ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’, just like the teaser is narrated by Ila Arun who plays the role of a wealthy old woman in the film. She tells the story of her chirpy, young and beautiful maid Lallo (Neha Sharma) who is on the lookout for love.
All the while accompanied by her friendly ghost Atmaram (Namit Das), Lallo gets helped by her friend who tells her about online dating app and her employer who teaches her how to dress up to look attractive. She then starts meeting her online matches and almost all of them turn up to be some sort of weird.
But soon things take a turn and mysterious events start occurring when people coming close to Lallo get killed. This makes way for the entry of eccentric investigating officer (Deepak Dobriyal) into the scene who begins looking into the case of multiple deaths surrounding Lallo. Towards the end of the trailer he tells his superior officer that Lallo is innocent despite everything suggesting her to be involved somehow. Has he discovered the truth about her curse? Will others believe it too?
Produced by Zee Studios, ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ follows the story of a woman’s quest for true love, how she finds herself as a prime suspect under multiple deaths while an ancient curse looms large, threatening to destroy everything and everyone around her.
‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ stars Neha Sharma (‘Crook’, ‘Tanhaji’), Ila Arun (‘Sherni’, ‘Chhalang’), Namit Das (‘A Suitable Boy’, ‘Arya’), Amit Sial (‘Mirzapur’, ‘A Simple Murder’) and Deepak Dobriyal (‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Omkara’) among others.
