Aap Jaisa Koi to Continue KJo’s Curse on Netflix?

Netflix India is bringing another romantic film called Aap Jaisa Koi, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. But looking at how things have gone so far, people aren’t too hopeful. Earlier this year, Dharmatic gave us Nadaaniyan, which turned out to be a complete disaster. Hardly anyone liked it, and it quickly disappeared from the spotlight. Sadly, that’s been the story of every film Dharmatic has made for Netflix so far, none of them worked.

In fact, if you look at all the Indian films Netflix has released in 2025, the picture doesn’t look very bright. Except for the mildly watchable Dhoom Dhaam, the rest have either flopped or been completely ignored by viewers. It’s almost like Netflix India has been wasting its time and money for the past six months with one dull release after another.

So now, with Aap Jaisa Koi, Netflix is taking another risky step. And the big question is, why? If the film fails again, it won’t just be a bad mark for Dharmatic and Karan Johar, it will also make people question what’s going wrong at Netflix India. Why do they keep choosing the same kind of films that don’t excite audiences?

Even worse, we’re seeing fewer and fewer Indian movies actually topping Netflix’s own charts. That’s a clear sign that something isn’t working. Viewers want good, engaging content. Instead, they’re getting repeated disappointments. Unless things change quickly, Netflix India might just keep losing the trust of its audience and that’s not something any platform can afford.

Anyway, nothing much is out from Aap Jaisa Koi other than a particular teaser. All the best to Netflix India for the complete film.
