Aarya Actor Sikandar Kher Joins Prime Video’s Citadel India

Amazon Prime Video’s highly anticipated and one of its most expensive sci-fi spy series ‘Citadel’ is all set for its streaming premiere on 28th April (starting with first two out of six episodes). And the Indian ‘Citadel’ spin-off series, which is being helmed by ‘The Family Man’ director duo Raj & DK, will feature Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles.

And now, as per the latest update, Indian actor Sikandar Kher has reportedly been cast in an undisclosed role for Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel India spin-off series. Sikandar Kher is not new to the small-screen or the OTT industry. Previously, he has lent his acting skills for the Indian version of ‘24’ starring Anil Kapoor and Disney+ Hotstar crime drama series ‘Aarya’, etc. besides starring in several films like ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, and ‘Monica, o My Darling’. He will next be seen in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Tooth Pari: When Love Bites’.

The mothership ‘Citadel’ series will be led by Scottish actor Richard Madden (‘Bodyguard’, ‘Game of Thrones’) and Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas (‘The White Tiger’, ‘Quantico’, ‘Mary Kom’). ‘The Lovely Bones’ actor Stanley Tucci is also part of the project. Richard Madden plays the role of Citadel agent Mason Kane, an amnesiac who does not remember his previous life.

Raj & DK had previously revealed that every country’s (Citadel) series is its own series with multiple seasons, but there’s going to be crossovers and cross-references. It’s an action thriller drama about super agents across the world.

Other than the main ‘Citadel’ series, which has already been renewed for a second season, there are going to be multiple spin-offs set in India, Italy, Spain, and Mexico. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Citadel’ series and its various spin-offs.
