If you are a frequent visitor on our site, by now you would have seen the praise being doled out to Aattam, not just by us but by viewers and critics alike. This Anand Ekarshi directorial venture, starring Vinay Forrt, Zarin Shihab, Kalabhavan Shajohn and so on has been doing its rounds amongst movie buffs and various international film festivals in the industry alike, as it should. The suspense drama revolves around an incident that happens to Anjali after a theatre group’s celebratory party, and how things take an intriguing, gripping turn from then on by exploring the various dynamics of the human psyche.
Zarin and Vinay showcase a stunning performance, promising to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. It had a triumphant theatrical run after its debut on January 5th, 2024 and still is able to live fresh in the minds of viewers as it has moved to the OTT realm. Aattam is available to stream on Amazon Prime, as of writing this article. However, what is a bit of a downer is the fact that it is not available outside India currently. Be it the US, Middle East etc, these regions must also be able to enjoy and see the quality and depth India produces, in the entertainment front.
A movie with such critical acclaim must be widely made accessible to people globally without a shadow of a doubt. As you get to watch Aattam, it will be clear as to why international recognition is important for not just this movie in itself, but for the progress of our film industry as a whole too.
