The recent launch of the suspense drama flick, Aattam, directed by Anand Ekarshi and boasting a cast of Vinay Forrt, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Zarin Shihab and such has gained widespread acclaim from viewers and critics alike. Having hit the big screens on January 5th, 2024, the movie promises an immersive experience, diving into a gripping story revolving around a theatre group.
The plot unravels around a troubling incident with Anjali, played by Zarin, being its victim, during a celebratory party. As the group tries to process the consequences, the air around them is buzzing with doubts, distrust, frenzy, all the while focusing on the true nature of human relations, ethics and virtues, and so on. Notably, Aattam was awarded the 2023 Grand Jury Award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and was exhibited as the opening feature film at the 54th International Film Festival of Goa.
