OTT has given a lot of actors a second chance to prove their worth. Abhishek Bachchan has been getting a lot of offers and a lot of attention from OTT films. After successful films like Dasvi, the man is ready with his new film, this time on ZEE5.
It is called Kaalidhar Laapata, which premieres on ZEE5 on July 4. This new Hindi film is a remake of the 2019 Tamil hit KD, and is directed by Madhumita, who also made the original.
In the film, Abhishek plays Kaalidhar, an elderly man who finds out that his family is planning to abandon him. Heartbroken, he runs away from home and ends up meeting an energetic eight-year-old orphan named Ballu, played by Daivik Baghela. What follows is an emotional and heartwarming journey, as the two set off on a road trip filled with dreams, unexpected adventures, and a growing bond that changes both their lives. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub also plays an important role in the movie.
What stood out in the announcement was the costume. Abhishek looks almost unrecognisable in the role. It is a very interesting thing as the audience shall see him explore various experiments. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment.
