After receiving acclaim upon its theatrical release Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer sports drama film ‘Ghoomer’ is now set for its OTT debut. Helmed by R. Balki, ‘Ghoomer’ will premiere later this month only on Zee5.
‘Ghoomer’ follows Anina (Saiyami Kher), a young batting prodigy who loses her right hand in an accident. An unsympathetic, failed cricketer Padam Singh Sodhi (Abhishek Bachchan) gives her new hope, trains her with unconventional techniques, to turn her fate around. Ghoomer is a new style of bowling they invent.
‘Ghoomer’ is directed by R. Balki who has co-written the film with Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani. The film also stars Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in supporting roles.
The film received positive reviews upon its theatrical release and was praised for the performances by lead actors. ‘Ghoomer’ is an uplifting, ambitious and hopeful story that inspires and has strong emotions.
Produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Abhishek Bachchan, Gauri Shinde, Ramesh Pulapaka and Anil Naidu and presented by Hope Film Makers and Saraswati Entertainment, ‘Ghoomer’ will have its digital premiere on Zee5 on 10th November, 2023.
