‘Slow Horses’ on Apple TV Plus is easily one of the most acclaimed series of 2022. The series, its premise and performances of the cast have been lauded by both critics and audiences. Now Apple TV Plus has just announced the release date for ‘Slow Horses’ Season 2.
The new season of ‘Slow Horses’ will premiere on Apple TV Plus on December 2. The debut season of the series premiered on Apple TV+ on April 1, 2022. This means, unlike most shows, ‘Slow Horses’ will have two seasons in a single calendar year. Well, we aren’t complaining for sure!
‘Slow Horses’ is a spy thriller, set in the high-stress world of Britain’s elite M15 intelligence agency, but not quite. ‘Slow Horses’ is the name given to agents in Slough House, a punishment posting of sorts for errant agents, where they must endure dull, paper pushing tasks. ‘Slow Horses’ is led by the obnoxious Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman. Life in Slough House is defined by drudgery, until the Slow Horses become entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that puts England in danger.
The official synopsis for ‘Slow Horses’ Season 2 reads, “When a liaison with Russian villains takes a fatal turn, our hapless heroes must overcome their individual failings and raise their spy game in a race to prevent a catastrophic incident.”
‘Slow Horses’ Season 2 will see Gary Oldman reprise from Season 1, along with Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Jonathan Pryce.
‘Slow Horses’ will premiere with two episodes on December 2, followed by an episode releasing weekly every Friday.
