Zack Snyder’s Justice League has touched people’s hearts in more ways than one. For two years now, fans have fought tooth and nail to get the Snyder Cut to become a reality. Finally getting to watch the film today has been worth the while for them, not to say, a major goosebumps inducing experience. However, what is truly heartwarming about the Snyder Cut or Zack Snyder’s Justice League, as you may call it, is that it has not only restored the Snyder-verse, it has also restored the hard work of scores of actors, actresses, technicians and other artists whose work was unceremoniously chopped out of Joss Whedon’s 2017 Justice League.
Such stories may abound in reality, but a lot of people, even die-hard fans of Snyder Cut, wouldn’t have been aware of their existence. One such story unravelled beautifully on Twitter this afternoon.
Chinese – American actress C Amanda Maud asked an innocuous question on Twitter this afternoon. She wanted to know if she was there in the four-hour-long Snyder Cut. She went on to add that her role had been chopped off in the 2017 Justice League, and whether her footage had found a place in the Snyder Cut.
This is what she asked –
“#SnyderCut I was cut from the Wheedon version. Can someone please let me know if I’m in this version? Trying to figure out how to view it but please let me know if I made this cut. I’m the single mom waitress in Cyborg’s back story.”
Twitter instantaneously exploded in praise, applause and heartwarming positive posts. Her question garnered an outpouring of reactions from Twitter folk. Every single tweet praised her performance with gushing words, some calling it the best scene of the film. Lots of people were horrified that Joss Whedon could chop off such a touching scene. And the best part – people praised Snyder Cut for restoring the hard work of all the people who had shed blood, sweat and tears over it.
One user wrote,
“Really good news for the people who worked hard on this movie. It’s more than just ZS’s cut. It belongs to everyone involved.”
Another posted,
“Not only are you in this version, it’s one of the best scenes (of many great scenes). Enjoy being a part of film history, forever! #SnyderCut”
One user wrote,
“If nothing else, HER scene is what made me really think “okay, this film is something else”
Absolutely amazing performance in a beautiful scene :)”
Wow, the reactions really make one think that Zack Snyder has achieved something really special with this special film of his.
