Adam Driver’s science fiction and creature drama ’65’ tanked at the box office when it first released in theatres in March 2023. This despite the fact that it comes from the writers of ‘A Quiet Place’, and features a similarly perilous survival story where the protagonists must outwit prehistoric creatures to come out of the ordeal alive.

Adam Driver plays a pilot who resides in a planet called Somaris in space. When he undertakes a two-year space expedition, he crash-lands on an unknown planet, which turns out to be the Earth of 65 million years ago, when dinosaurs ruled the planet and humans were still to evolve. How he fights off the prehistoric creatures that inhabit the planet and makes it back home forms the rest of the story.
Besides Adam Driver, ’65’ features Ariana Greenblatt, Chloe Coleman and Nika King in pivotal roles. The film has been written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who’ve also written blockbuster movie ‘A Quiet Place’ earlier.
The official synopsis of ’65’ reads, “After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth — 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at a rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa, must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures”.
