Netflix has unveiled the official teaser of its upcoming animated flick, Leo. Adam Sandler has lent his funny voice to the film’s protagonist, a 74-year-old school lizard.
The film revolves around Leo, who has spent his entire life in a Florida-based elementary school with his turtle friend (voiced by Bill Burr). Upon learning he has only one year left to live, he decides to leave his school for good and explore the world outside his glass box. Soon, we see the old lizard getting worried about the class students who regularly tease him. Wait! We forgot to tell you the most important thing about the film. It is a musical!
The trio of Robert Smigel, David Wachtenheim, and Robert Marianetti has helmed the film. Led by Adam Sandler, the rest of the film’s cast consists of Bill Burr, Jason Alexander, Cecily Strong, Sadie Sandler, Rob Schneider, Sunny Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Stephanie Hsu, and more.
Apart from leading ‘Leo‘, Sandler has also co-written it with Smigel and Paul Sado. The leading man’s production house, Happy Madison, has bankrolled the forthcoming animated project.
Leo will come out on Netflix on November 21. Stay tuned for more updates.
