Seems like all the OTT platforms are in a race to deliver content, well this is no secret but what’s surprising is that these platforms are coming up with same genre content. Yes you read that correctly! After the announcements of Putham Pudhu Kalai from Amazon Prime Video and Paava Kadhaigal from Netflix, Aha has announced their new project which itself is an anthology drama series. The series is titled Addham and will feature 3 different stories. The series is produced by SNDP Dreamcatchers LLP.
The stories are titled- The Road That Never Ends, The Unwhisperable Secret and Crossroads. Bharath Neelakantan will be directing one of the stories among these. Sivaananth who has also written the 3 stories will be directing one of them, while Sarjunkm will be helming the third story.
There were talks going around regarding the film and thus Aha Video announced the project today with the acclaimed director Mani Ratnam launching the official poster of the series with the tagline that said “Morality is a changing goalpost. Witness this with Aha Video”.
The cast and the crew thanked him for acknowledging the film and doing the honours.
Naturally people are excited about the movie as it stars several of the fan favorite actors like :-
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Arjun Chidambaram, Prasanna Venkatesan, Rohini Molleti, Siva Ananth, Pavithrah Marimathu and several others.
By the looks of it the series is going to be an emotional drama which will be telling the stories of common people. As the word Addham itself means Mirror in Telugu, hence there is a high possibility that the series will focus and will show the mirror of society as well as oneself throughout it’s three stories.
Aha Video’s original anthology series Addham will be premiering on 16th October 2020. A trailer will be released shortly by the team.
