‘Adipurush’ Effect! Prasanth Varma’s ‘HanuMan’ Gets New Release Date

The much awaited multilingual film from Prasanth Varma ‘HanuMan’ has further been delayed for six months and will now release on Sankranthi next year i.e. on 12th January, 2024 in Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

‘HanuMan’ is the first film from Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe and is set in a fictional universe of Anjanadri. The film, as shown in the teaser released last year, is a blend of science, fiction and mythology.

Declaring the new release date on his social media today, writer and director Prasanth Varma said that he has spent two years of his life on ‘HanuMan’ and is willing to spend six more months in order to deliver the best outcome.

Given the recent public and critic disappointment from On Raut’s tentpole film ‘Adipurush’, the makers of ‘HanuMan’ seem to be extra cautious when dealing with subjects that touch upon religious sentiments of the large. Also, such films have huge expectations and the hype built around them since the beginning of the project makes it even more sensitive to present something grand, epic and worth the wait.

‘HanuMan’ stars Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Vinay Rai, Raj Deepak Shetty, Vennela Kishore, Getup Srinu and Satya among others.

Produced by K. Niranjan Reddy under Primeshow entertainment banner, ‘HanuMan’ has cinematography from Dasaradhi Shivendra and editing by Srikanth Patnaik R. and S. B. Raju Talari. ‘HanuMan’ is a pan Indian super hero film and will release in cinemas in Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese and Japanese on 12th January, 2024.
