Adivi Sesh Commences ‘Major’ Final Filming Schedule

Back in August, we had informed our readers about the commencement of the final filming schedule of the eagerly anticipated biographical action film titled ‘Major’, which is based on the life of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. However, later, the film’s talented lead actor was reported to be recuperating from Dengue.

In another recent development, the film’s lead actor Adivi Sesh has, earlier today, announced that his journey regarding essaying the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan is almost finished. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was an Indian Army officer who served in the elite Special Action Group of the National Security Guards (NSG).

Telugu actor Adivi Sesh is playing the titular role in the bilingual film ‘Major’, which also marks his Hindi movie debut in the film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. ‘Major’ would ostensibly follow Ashoka Chakra Awardee Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s courageous contribution during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film also features veteran performers like Revathi, Prakash Raj, and Sobhita Dhulipala, amongst others.

‘Major’ has been produced by superstar Mahesh Babu in collaboration with Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies. Being considered as a Pan-Indian film for obvious reason, the movie has been concurrently shot in Hindi and Telugu languages and later dubbed in Malayalam.

Now that the film is on the verge of completion, the release date for the film is expected to be announced soon. Considering the film’s premise, scale, and production values, the makers are reportedly geared up for an exclusive theatrical release for ‘Major’. Stay tuned to Binged for further updates on the film.
