And finally, ‘Major’ is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on 11th February 2022, as per an official announcement by the film’s lead actor Adivi Sesh. The announcement post was accompanied by a video featuring BTS clips and scenes from the film. It was further revealed that the filming of ‘Major’ comprised 120 shoot days, 8 sets, and 75 locations and that the film will release in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.
The massive film ‘Major’ is inspired by the life, love, and legacy of the hero of the 26/11 2008 Mumbai attacks – Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was an Indian Army officer who served in the elite Special Action Group of the National Security Guards (NSG).
Telugu actor Adivi Sesh is playing the titular role in ‘Major’, which also marks his Hindi movie debut in the film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. The film also features veteran performers like Revathi, Prakash Raj, and Sobhita Dhulipala, amongst others.
‘Major’ has been produced by superstar Mahesh Babu in collaboration with Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies.
