‘HIT: The 2nd Case’ starring Adivi Sesh is all set to make its way on the big screens today. The film is a standalone sequel to the 2020 film ‘HIT: The First Case’ and like the first film, the sequel too has been written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu and co-produced by ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ actor Nani.
In case you don’t intend to or are unable to watch ‘HIT: The 2nd Case’ in theatres, worry not, because you can still watch the film on an OTT platform after its theatrical run. The OTT rights for ‘HIT: The 2nd Case’ have been bagged by the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform. Interestingly, the OTT partner of the critically and commercially successful first film ‘HIT: The First Case’ was also acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
The first film ‘HIT: The First Case’ was an action thriller that featured Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. The plot revolved around an astute police officer of the titular Homicide Intervention Team aka HIT who makes it his mission to find a missing woman.
On the other hand, in ‘HIT: The 2nd Case’, Adivi Sesh will instead essay the lead role of a police officer named Krishna Dev ‘KD’. The basic storyline of the sequel revolves around a perplexing investigation of a gruesome murder of a woman by a serial killer. The protagonist cop’s desperate efforts to nab the culprit forms the film’s underlying plot. The movie also features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.
As per the early feedback of ‘HIT: The 2nd Case’, the film has received a decent response so far. It remains to be seen whether the sequel will repeat the parent film’s success, or who knows, even surpass it. Lead actor Adivi Sesh has recently revealed that he will also be a part of another sequel ‘HIT 3’ although he did not divulge any further details.
