Afran Nisho Gets A Well Deserved Debut Feature With ‘Surongo’!

Afran Nisho is one of the most known faces of the Bangladeshi film industry, mostly because of his comic ‘Natoks’. But his theatrical debut ‘Surongo’ is going to be bigger than ever this time. Fans hope that this film will break all previous box office records.

The trailer of Surongo was released recently and it looks promising. It is interesting how an actor known for comedy can impress audiences with a dramatic performance. The trailer does not have a single dialogue and yet it engages the attention of the viewer and does not bore.

As we can know from the trailer, ‘Surongo’ will be a prison escape thriller and Afran Nisho plays an inmate. Surongo means ‘tunnel’ in Bengali and the film will be about the inmate trying to dig a tunnel from the prison. The trailer has some flashback elements to forward the story smoothly where Nisho plays an ordinary and regular man. The many questions like how and why he came to be imprisoned are not answered, but there is no need to say that a story from Raihan Rafi will be solid and superbly entertaining. Raihan Rafi is known for directing successful films like ‘Poran’ and ‘Damal’. Surongo will be releasing on ‘Eid-ul-azha’.

This is definitely the big screen debut that Nisho deserved. Fans are excited with his new film and the buzz in the air predicts that Surongo is an easy hit. The look and the attitude of the film is impressive and hopefully there will not be any serious loopholes to the story. The Bangladeshi film industry is producing many masterpieces recently and it will be good for an actor like Nisho to have his film added to this list.
