After Nairobi, eagle-eyed fans have dug up another Money Heist character with an Indian connect. And it is none other than the character of Rio on the popular Netflix show.
Miguel Herrán, who plays Rio on the popular Netflix show Money Heist, was once upon a time an aspiring model. Five years ago, he had appeared in one of the first ads for the Indian music-on-demand app, Gaana. The advertisement was in the form of a short video story, where Herrán played a young guy who becomes friends with a girl after they bond over music with Gaana. The girl was played by actress Pia Bajpai. Herrán aka Rio even mouthed Hindi dialogue in the ad.
Rio is one of the most popular characters on the hit Netflix show. La Casa De Papel, Money Heist in English, is a smash hit for Netflix, watched fervently in countries across the world. Unfortunately, the upcoming season 5 of Money Heist will be its last and final installment.
Earlier this year, fans had also dug up a clip showing Money Heist’s Nairobi, played by actress Alba Flores, portraying a Telugu woman in a Spanish film. The film was the 2013 Vicente Ferrer, and Alba had played a rural Telugu woman in the film. She had also mouthed a good number of lines in Telugu.
