After Severance, New Ben Stiller Produced Show Hits Apple TV Plus

Ben Stiller is currently enjoying a highly productive and stellar professional relationship with prestigious streaming platform, Apple TV Plus. Fresh from the blockbuster success of ‘Severance’, which is directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller, the talented actor and filmmaker now has a new show on Apple TV Plus. Titled ‘High Desert’, the series has begun streaming on Apple TV Plus from today.

‘High Desert’ stars popular actress Patricia Arquette in the lead. Those who’ve watched Severance will know that Patricia Arquette is also a part of that show. She plays Harmony Cobel in the hit sci-fi drama. ‘High Desert’ is helmed by Jay Roach, who’s known for directing Bombshell, the Austin Powers film series, Meet the Parents, among others.

The new Apple TV Plus series ‘High Desert’ is a comedy drama, featuring Patricia Arquette as Peggy Newman, a reformed addict, whose life is in a financial mess after the passing of her mother. The drama begins when she takes the staggering decision to become a private investigator, after discovering that she has a flair for it. The series also stars Matt Dillon, Rupert Friend, Weruche Opia and Brad Garrett, among others.

The official synopsis of ‘High Desert’ reads, “Peggy Newman, a woman with a checkered past, makes the life-changing decision to become a private investigator following the death of her beloved mother, with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California.”

The first three episodes of ‘High Desert’ are currently streaming on Apple TV Plus. The remaining five episodes will stream on subsequent Wednesdays on the platform.
