Do you remember how we informed you of a Sundance winning film called Girls Will Be Girls? It is produced by actors and couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal.
Well, the ambitious couple have a line-up of 5 titles ready to be worked upon. They have announced it very recently and it already looks interesting.
- “Papita”: Directed by Akash Bhatia (known for Netflix’s “Looop Lapeta”), this crime thriller follows Porus Bisht, a paparazzi photographer in Mumbai with a penchant for voyeurism. When he captures a crucial moment involving a celebrity, his life and career take an unexpected turn.
- “Doggie Stylez”: An adult animation directed by Ashutosh Pathak, this tongue-in-cheek satire explores modern human society through the eyes of dogs attempting to mimic human behavior, with humorous results.
- “Pinky Promise”: A musical comedy written by Amitosh Nagpal (“Hindi Medium”), the film tells the story of Pinky and Goldie, dancers from rival families who find themselves in forbidden love, reminding us of a contemporary “Romeo and Juliet” tale.
- “RiAlity”: Directed by Rahul Singh Datta, this documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, exploring the whirlwind surrounding their wedding and their journey in the entertainment industry.
- “Miss Palmoliv All Night Cabaret”: From veteran filmmaker Kamal Swaroop (“Om Dar-B-Dar”), this fantasy drama follows Bhavani Singh, a revolutionary celibate bandit, and Miss Palmolive, a cabaret dancer, on a musical journey through the fantastical world of Cinemata.
