Ram Charan’s much-hyped film Game Changer turned out to be a huge disappointment. Directed by S. Shankar, the film was expected to be a blockbuster but failed to impress both critics and audiences. It tanked at the box office and was heavily trolled online for its weak storyline and execution, so much so that it became a matter of severe embarrassment to the people involved in the film.
After its theatrical failure, Game Changer was released on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. However, even the OTT version faced issues. Some scenes were simply removed because they were too embarrassing for Ram Charan (the maniacal laugh). The film continued to receive negative feedback, with many viewers expressing their disappointment on social media.
Now, the Hindi version of Game Changer is set to premiere on Zee5 on March 7. While the South Indian audience has already given its verdict, it will be interesting to see how Hindi viewers react. Given the film’s poor reputation, expectations are low.
Despite the failure, Ram Charan’s fans continue to support him, hoping for a better project in the future. Whether Game Changer finds a second chance on OTT or faces the same trolling remains to be seen.
