We have seen an increase in the number of titles that come under the young adult genre recently with many people trying their hands at it. After we collided is another show that fits in this section and is inspired by a fan fiction tale.
After we Collided takes you on a journey where a couple (Tessa and Hardin) are madly in love with each other, but a betrayal tears them apart and their perfect love story. She must decide if he can still be trusted or not.
The premise of this movie is nothing unique. It can, at times, give you a bit of a despotic vibe with some more than necessary sexual content and the underlying currents where you feel as though they are objectifying women.
Nonetheless, it takes us through the turmoil that can be faced by a young couple who think that everything in life is rosy but forget to acknowledge the fact that there will always be some or the other difficulty when it comes to maintaining relationships over time.
After we collided is set to come on Netflix on 1st December, and there are literally many titles with the same storyline that already exist, but they also give you a glimpse as to how a seemingly good relationship from the outside can turn toxic and hazardous when you give in to the different distractions of the world.
This is not something that everybody has to see or will 100% love, and neither is it something of the beaten track, but it may just show you the hidden fallacies and traps that the younger generation faces in a bid to keep their love and self-esteem alive.
