Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra To Star In Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’

On the occasion of veteran actor Dharmendra Deol’s birthday today makers of ‘Ikkis’ have announced his next film that also marks the acting debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. The film was earlier reported to star Varun Dhawan in lead.

Helmed by National Award winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, ‘Ikkis’ is a war drama film based on the life of second lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. Born in Pune, Khetarpal was an Indian army officer and posthumous recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.

Khetarpal earned this honour for his martyrdom in the Battle of Basantar in the Battlefield of Shakargarh during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.

‘Ikkis’ will be directed by Sriram Raghavan who is well known for his neo-noir action thrillers. The filmmaker has given some noteworthy films like ‘Badlapur’ and ‘Andhadhun’. Among his upcoming project is ‘Merry Christmas’.

‘Ikkis’ is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his Mardock Films banner and will start filming in 2023.
