The first-look image of the highly anticipated “Agatha All Along” Disney+ series has surfaced, thanks to Empire Magazine! Serving as a follow-up to the events of WandaVision (2021), the upcoming Kathryn Hahn starrer will focus on the protagonist’s struggle to break out of her containment in Westview, NJ, and her quest to regain her lost powers. During her journey, we will see Agatha meeting some unlikely allies in the form of deceptive and treacherous witches.
WandaVision’s finale revealed that it was indeed Agatha all along who messed up everything for Wanda Maximoff and played a key role in allowing her to reach her full potential as Scarlet Witch. But the tables turned after Wanda regained consciousness and used her Scarlet Witch persona to defeat Agatha.
The following first-look image from the upcoming MCU series shows Hahn’s Agatha with Lilia (Patti LuPone), Jennifer (Sasheer Zamata), Sharon (Debra Jo Rupp), and Alice (Ali Ahn).
Showrunner Jac Schaeffer talked to Empire about her forthcoming MCU project and promised to deliver plenty of chaos magic to the viewers from this new group of “covenless witches.” This is what she said:
“What they have in common is that they’re covenless witches,” Schaeffer told Empire. “Witches are defined by deception, treachery, villainy, and selfishness. What do you do when you have a group of witches who [demonstrate] those notions and you need them to work together?”
Marvel is keeping the plot details of “Agatha All Along” under wraps, but we should expect tons of fun and magic from the upcoming Disney+ series. It will debut on the streaming service with its first two episodes on September 18, 2024. Indian viewers will be able to watch it on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
