Aha Video is set to float Aha 2.0 very soon. Team Aha held a gala event the other night to publicize the arrival of Aha 2.0. Allu Arjun graced the event as the chief guest. Team Aha opened up about the new pricing plan, the arrival of new OTT titles, and more.
Allu Aravind, one of the founding members of Aha Video revealed that the OTT platform intends to modify its pricing plan. Starting very soon, a new annual subscription of Aha Video will cost Rs 699. The new pricing plan will be coming to effect shortly. Presumably, the new pricing plan will be enforced soon after the launch of Aha 2.0, which isn’t too far from now.
Allu Arjun revealed that Aha will be releasing a new and exciting OTT title every Friday. This makes it clear that Aha Video has lined up a handful of OTT films and web series that have wrapped up production and are ready to be streamed. An official announcement on the new titles will be out in due course.
Aha had previously implemented an aggressive pricing plan with a yearly subscription costing Rs 399. Now, the Telugu-only OTT platform looks set to enforce an increased pricing model and that is understandable, given the fact that they have been extensively focusing on exclusive content production and even started bagging the digital rights of biggies like Love Story, Most Eligible Bachelor, and others.
Aha is also orchestrating a show on the lines of American Idol and Indian idol. More details about the same will be out soon. On a related note, Aha’s flagship show Unstoppable, a celebrity talk show hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to premiere on the 4th of November.
