Aha Video Changes Strategy in 2021: A Move To Widen Subscriber Base?

2021 may have forced a change in the strategy of Regional Telugu Exclusive OTT Platform, Aha Video. The OTT platform started just before the Lockdown last year has been churning original content aggressively. Coming to films, it has mostly relied on dubbing good films of other languages and release them.

The strategy has worked and Aha Video is one of the fastest-growing regional OTT platforms in the country. Now, to take their reach to the next level, they seem to be bidding for notable Telugu films. As of now, they seem to be targeting medium-range Telugu movies featuring stars.

Ravi Teja’s Krack which is considered the best among the festive releases and Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story which will release this Summer are the first films in this category. Since its promoter Allu Aravind is a doyen in the Telugu film industry, Aha Video will be rightly aware of which film to bid and for what rate. The OTT platform has proven right with the choice it made in the case of Krack. Love Story is also one of the promising films.
