Regional Telugu Exclusive OTT Platform, Aha Video has completed its first year of existence. Aha Video is the classic example of how sometimes the best in the industry go wrong. When the Platform was announced last year, no one did give them a chance against International majors like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix despite having promoters like Allu Aravind and Ramu Rao Jupally of Myhome Group.
But then, as they say luck favors the brave. Aha Video was helped by the Lockdown and the team grabbed it with both hands. The team of Aha Video headed by Ajith Thakur was shrewd in planning their content strategy. They were aggressive enough to churn out content all throughout the Lockdown. Along with their huge slate of Original content, they also dubbed hit films of other languages as stop-gap arrangements which helped immensely.
Despite the Lockdown favoring all OTT Platforms, Aha Video managed to have their own space. Today, they boast of over 25 million unique users who consumed more than 1.25 billion minutes of content. Along with aggressive content, their competitive pricing strategy also worked big time. Their team – Marketing Head Lloyd Xavier, Programming head Surya, Rajashekar Reddi, Pranitha, and other important people from the company slogged hard to make it happen.
Aha Video celebrates the first anniversary with ample joy and satisfaction. A big challenge awaits for them in the second year but then, with the passion and expertise they have, they should sail through easily.
