Seems like problems are going to increase for Hotstar users. If you are a Hotstar user then you must be aware that the platform in an imitation of Netflix has put a ban on password sharing.
Unlike Netflix, Hotstar has a massive subscriber base but their base is decreasing. But, the trouble for Hotstar users is going to increase.
Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom operators, recently made a significant change to its prepaid plans by discontinuing the Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription benefit from its popular Rs 399 plan. Until a few days ago, users who recharged with this plan enjoyed access to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile, a sought-after entertainment service.
The removal of Disney+ Hotstar Mobile from the Rs 399 plan has left some customers disappointed, as it was a valuable feature that offered a vast library of content. However, Airtel still offers access to Disney+ Hotstar on three other plans, priced at Rs 3,359, Rs 839, and Rs 499, catering to customers with varying entertainment needs.
So if you want to continue using Hotstar with Airtel then you have to consider spending more money.
This move might prompt some subscribers to consider upgrading to higher-priced plans to continue enjoying Disney+ Hotstar content, while others may seek alternatives elsewhere.
