The shelved project of Anees Bazmee will finally get a OTT or theatrical release, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The movie was shot on 2004, but wasn’t released since these last 18 years. Finally this psychological and action thriller will out on screen, most probably in between the months of May-July.
The plot of the movie is based on a person who loses his memory and henceforth starts a journey to find his individuality. The movie also stars actors like Sameera Reddy, Bhumika Chawla, Rahul Dev, Sharat Saxena and Amit Misra among the others. “Naam” marks the fourth collaboration of Ajay with Bazmee after “Hulchul,” “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” and “Deewangee.” Anil Roongta will produce the film under the banner of Roongta Entertainment.
Earlier, Anees Bazmee had shared a post on Instagram from the sets of the unreleased movie, taken in Switzerland. The post also stars the young, vivacious Ajay in it, that reads as – “This was taken in Switzerland, while shooting for an unreleased film ‘Naam’ with @ajaydevgn, #BhumikaChawla & @reddysameera. It was a suspense thriller jo aapko bohot pasand aati. Yahin ummeed karta hoon ki ek din yeh movie release ho aur aap sabko dekhne mile. #ThrowbackThursday.”
In the meantime, Ajay Devgn will be seen in “Runway 34” that is slated to hit the screens on April 29. Anees Bazmee is also currently busy for the release of his upcoming film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.”
