Ever since the filming schedule for the highly anticipated Ajith Kumar starrer Tamil language action thriller film ‘Valimai’ was concluded last year around September, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the film’s release date. And now, in a delightful update for cinephiles, the makers have finally revealed the official theatrical release date for ‘Valimai’. The movie will now be released in cinemas on 24th February 2022 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada languages.
Valimai’s much-awaited release date update has come on the heels of the release date announcements by prominent Indian filmmakers for several big-ticket and high-profile films. These include S.S. Rajamouli’s action extravaganza ‘RRR’ starring superstars Junior NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles and Prabhas starrer period romantic drama ‘Radhe Shyam’. While ‘RRR’ will have a grand theatrical release on 25th March 2022, ‘Radhe Shyam’ will be out in cinemas on 11th March 2022.
Moreover, Suriya’s ‘ET’ will release a day before ‘Radhe Shyam, that is, on 10th March 2022. And Prashanth Neel’s Kannada blockbuster film ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ starring Yash is already geared up to release on 14th April 2022.
Coming back to ‘Valimai’, the highly anticipated film has been written and directed by H Vinoth and stars eminent actor Ajith Kumar in the lead role alongside Huma Qureshi and Kartikeya in important roles. Ajith Kumar will ostensibly be seen essaying the role of a police officer named Arjun Kumar in the film and how he makes it his mission to bring to justice an illegal gang of bikers responsible for violent criminal activities.
