Akhil Akkineni, Mammootty Starrer ‘Agent’ OTT Platform Locked!

Akhil Akkineni‘s upcoming action thriller ‘Agent’ has fans of the spy thriller genre abuzz with excitement. The Telugu film is said to have impressive high-octane action sequences, with Akhil Akkineni appearing in a never-seen-before avatar. For those who don’t know, ‘Agent’ releases in theatres in India on 28th April, 2023, after several earlier delays in its release date.

But before ‘Agent‘ hits the big screen in April, we’ve got you confirmed information on the streaming platform that has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of ‘Agent’. And it is none other than homegrown streamer, SonyLIV. The streaming rights for ‘Agent’ is an impressive acquisition for SonyLIV, given the massive buzz surrounding the film.

‘Agent’ is a spy thriller in the Telugu language. The film not only stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role of a spy gone rogue, but also Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the role of the head of the Indian Intelligence Agency. He’s tasked with capturing the ‘Agent’ played by Akhil Akkineni, and bring him to book.

Besides Akhil Akkineni and Mammootty, ‘Agent’ stars Sakshi Vaidya, Dino Morea, and Vikramjeet Virk in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Surender Reddy, from a story written by Vakkantham Vamsi. Hiphop Tamizha has composed the music for ‘Agent’.

‘Agent’ is slated to be a pan-India film. It will release in theatres across India in its original Telugu language, along with the dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
