Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Agent’ To Get A Hindi TV Release And Not Telugu?

Spy thrillers have never really become outdated. From James Bond to Jason Bourne to Jack Ryan, popular culture history has been a witness to a multitude of spies carrying out top-secret, risk-to-life work. And the same applies to Indian cinema as well. Films like Tiger Zinda Hai, Agent Vinod, Goodachari, Vishwaroopam, and more bear testament to the advent of spy thrillers in contemporary Indian cinema.

One title that falls into this category is Surender Reddy’s ‘Agent’. Released theatrically in 2023, the film revolves around a spy with a mysterious past, who goes on a mission to uncover the truth about a dangerous terrorist organization. The ensemble cast includes Akhil Akkineni, Dino Morea, National Award winner Mammootty, Sakshi Vaidya, in leading roles.

While no OTT release details have been finalized for the title yet, the Hindi version of the lackluster Telugu espionage thriller is set to debut on television! The feature will officially premiere on the Goldmines TV Channel on July 28th at 8 PM!

This comes following major confusion regarding the OTT release of the film after it received a lukewarm response from the audience in cinemas.

However, no further information about the film being released in its mother tongue – Telugu – has been made public yet.
Anticipating fans, hold on just a little longer!
