Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s next film ‘Bachchan Pandey’ is on the verge of wrapping up the movie shoot. A few days earlier, it was reported that the actor had displayed utmost sincerity when he somehow managed to shoot for the upcoming film amidst heavy Mumbai rains. A few months earlier, the ‘Khiladi’ actor had also purportedly shot a substantial portion of the film in Jaisalmer.
Bachchan Pandey’s filming was already underway in full swing in Thane and now, as per a recent report by a leading news portal, the film’s crew will be shooting for the film’s finale at a movie theatre in the Andheri area. The scene would reportedly involve a large crowd for which a whopping 200 number artists are all geared up for the shoot.
Considering the present pandemic circumstances, the team members have gone through the COVID-19 test as part of the protocol. As a precautionary measure, the entries and exits of the theatre have been restricted despite the fact that the theatre was already non-functional owing to the pandemic.
Akshay Kumar’s co-stars Arshad Warsi and Kriti Sanon are also said to be involved in the grand filming sequence. The film also features the supremely talented performer Pankaj Tripathi alongside the stunning actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
‘Bachchan Pandey’ is an action entertainer which is being directed by Farhad Samji, who is known for his previous collaborations with Akshay Kumar in films such as ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Housefull 3’, and ‘it’s Entertainment’.
The film ostensibly revolves around the titular gangster who is also a budding actor. Incidentally, Akshay Kumar had previously played a character of the same name ‘Bachchan Pandey’ in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s action comedy film ‘Tashan’ (co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor). Whether or not these two characters are somewhat related in some way is not yet confirmed.
‘Bachchan Pandey’ is expected for a theatrical release on 26th January 2022, coinciding with Republic Day. Akshay Kumar’s upcoming films also include ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Bell Bottom’, and ‘Raksha Bandhan’, amongst other projects that are currently under production.
