Akshay Kumar as usual is wrapping up and getting ready for back to back films once again. A couple of days ago he completed the shoot of the yet to be titled Production 41 with his ‘Bell Bottom’ team and now it’s time for the wrap up of Anand L. Rai’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
Announcing the shoot wrap news on his social media Akshay Kumar shared his experience and feelings about working with director Anand L. Rai. He wrote, “Here’s to all I and @aanandlrai did throughout the shoot of #RakshaBandhan – laugh like there’s no tomorrow! Ironically, as we wrapped the film last night, there was a bittersweet tinge of sadness. Off to the next. New day, new roller coaster.”
Akshay Kumar had shared his admiration for his ‘Raksha Bandhan’ director earlier too when he completed the Mumbai schedule for the film. At that time he said, “And @aanandlrai sir…what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of #RakshaBandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor 🙏🏻”
‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a comedy drama film that revolves around the beautiful relationship of a brother and sister encompassing their affection, bond and attachment for each other. Other than Akshay Kumar, the film stars Bhumi Padnekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Shrikant in prominent roles.
Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon have written the story of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. It is jointly produced by Anand L. Rai through his Colour Yellow Productions, Alka Hiranandani and Zee Studios. Cape of Good Films is another banner involved in the film’s production.
‘Raksha Bandhan’ is scheduled for release on the festival of Raksha Bandhan next year on 11th August, 2022 that will also coincide with the Independence Day weekend.
