On September 9, Akshay Kumar’s birthday, an announcement regarding his horror-comedy project with director Priyadarshan is set to unfold in front of the audience. Fourteen years after their final on-screen collaboration, Khatta Meetha, the pair have reunited.
On Saturday, actor Akshay posted a video to his Instagram that appeared to be a teaser for a new movie he would release on his 57th birthday. The performer captioned, “Ganpati Bappa Morya! What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way. The reveal is set for my birthday. Stay tuned”.
Although not much is known about this upcoming horror-comedy, it is expected to revolve around black magic and feature Akshay alongside three different actresses. According to several sources, Akshay’s birthday was supposed to coincide with the release of the horror-comedy’s motion poster.
Additionally, the source stated that filming for the movie is anticipated to start by year’s end and continue through the first half of 2025. The remainder of the cast is still being finalized, but Akshay’s character specifics should be revealed in the movie poster.
This marks Akshay’s third horror-comedy. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa, another psychological thriller, the actor made his debut in this genre. Alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, he appeared in the newly released film Stree 2. Fans are excited to see the pair collab once again after giving several comedic blasts in the past.
