The trailer for the much awaited Akshay Kumar period drama ‘Prithviraj’ is out. The film, made under the Yashraj Films banner, has been in the making since some time. After several delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Prithviraj finally releases in theatres on June 3, 2022.
Most people, especially Akshay Kumar fans, have praised the Prithviraj trailer for its lavishly mounted sets, the eclectic cast, and of course, for Akshay Kumar’s death-defying action sequences. But a section of audiences have not taken too kindly to Akshay Kumar’s look from the film. Most criticisers of the Prithviraj trailer have said that Akshay’s look in it resembles his popular character of Bala from the film, Housefull 4.
A lot of people have observed that Akshay Kumar doesn’t look convincing enough as the powerful Maharaja Prithviraj. Still others have pointed out that Akshay Kumar seems to have put in no effort at all to portray an important historical figure in India’s legacy.
