Al Pacino will now be seen in a horror movie and Dan Stevens will also be seen starring alongside him. The movie is titled ‘The Ritual’ and it will be directed by David Midell.
The movie will tell the story of Anna Ecklund, more popularly known by her pseudonym Emma Schmidt, a woman who was reportedly possessed by Demonic spirits and went through several exorcisms throughout decades. The last exorcism was done on her from August to December in 1928. Emma Schmidt suffered much due to the alleged possessions and her story was revised again and again in news channels and other media. Who will play the role of Emma is not decided yet. Al Pacino and Dan Stevens will be playing the two priests that take up the task of the exorcism. Dan plays a man who is confused and is questioning his own faith now. Al Pacino plays the older priest who is trying to deal with some deadly secret from his own past.
The director David Midell’s last film was The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain and it came out in 2019. The movie was a critical success and now we have to wait to see what he cooks with actors like Pacino and Stevens and a subject that has intrigued people for so long a time. Al Pacino will next be seen as the Italian painter Modigliani in the movie ‘Modi’ directed by Johnny Depp.
