The cat-and-mouse chase story will be on screens in 9 days! Kollywood has been witnessing talk-of-the-town films this February and ‘Siren’ is one of them. Siren is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 16, 2024, in both Tamil and Telugu.
Yesterday, the creators of the film announced the release of the commercial trailer, scheduled for today at 8:09 PM, along with the audio launch in a grand event, and as said, the official trailer is out now. (Go, check now!)
The trailer hints at Jayam Ravi, a convict, claiming he is innocent, and opposing him is Keerthy Suresh, a tough cop named Nandhini, who tries to prove otherwise. We can also decipher that the film is about how this ambulance driver-turned-criminal mend his life by looking for his family, all while going through a rollercoaster of emotions and actions.
‘Siren’ marks the directorial debut of Antony Bhagyaraj, who has previously contributed as a screenwriter to movies like Hero, Annathey, and Viswasam. Produced by Sujatha Vijayakumar under the banner of Home Movie Makers, Tamil Nadu theatrical release is handled by Red Giant Movies.
With a supporting cast including Anupama Parameshwaran, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, and Tulasi, Selvakumar SK serves as the cinematographer, and GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer. Star Network has bought the digital and satellite rights, and Disney+ Hotstar hold the OTT rights. However, the official OTT release date is yet to be announced.
The trailer has garnered good reviews from fans so far, and seeing Jayam Ravi in his new avatar looks refreshing. Keerthy Suresh and Yogi Babu seem to have significant roles this time, which heightened the expectations from people for ‘Siren.’ Also, it is interesting to note that ‘Siren’ is subtitled with 108.
In conclusion, ‘Siren’ promises a successful comeback for Jayam Ravi. Officially, it’s a green light for the red light!
