Alex Garland’s “Men” Trailer Is What Nightmares Are Made Of!

Oscar Nominee Jessie Buckley starrer horror “Men” directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation) dropped it’s official trailer today. A24 unveiled the trailer for the much anticipated horror that is slated for a May 20, 2022 release.

The film follows Harper (played by Buckley) who retreats to an English countryside after a triggering personal tragedy to help herself heal. But things take a darker turn as she finds someone stalking her from the woods. Her dread transforms into a horrific nightmare inhabited by her worst fears. The trailer gives you the right mix of spooky, scary and intimidating imagery along with a thumping background score. It’s almost as if you know A24 would never go wrong with Indie-horror.

Written and directed by Garland, Rory Kinnear and Paapa Essiedu joins Buckley in the film as main-cast. DNA’s Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich turn producers.

Alex Garland received his first Oscar nomination for the critically acclaimed “Ex Machina”, for it’s screenplay in 2016. He later helmed ” Annihilation” in 2018. He also went on to write, direct and executive produce the Hulu series “Devs”.

Garland recently announced his reunion with A24 on an action epic starring Kirsten Dunst (The Power of the Dog), Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Cailee Spaeny. Garland pens his original screenplay that bases the film in a future-America and also directs. Further plot details are kept under wraps.
