Alexander Skarsgard and Harry Melling will lead the cast of ‘Pillion’, which has been described as a ‘kinky queer romance’ project. The film marks the feature directional debut of the UK filmmaker Harry Lighton.
Melling will play Colin, a weedy wallflower who loves to live his life on his own, in Pillion. His life turns around completely after encountering Ray (Skarsgard), the insanely handsome leader of a motorbike club. Ray finds Colin interesting, making the former accept Colin as his submissive. He changes Colin’s life completely by introducing him to his gang of queer and kinky bikers. But as Colin delves deeper into Ray’s enigmatic world and his gang’s unconventional dynamic, he begins to question whether being a submissive is the right path for him.
Alexander Skarsgard is best known for his work in movies like Battleship (2012), The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015), The Legend of Tarzan (2016), Long Shot (2019), Godzilla v. Kong (2021), and The Northman (2022). We know Harry Melling for his performances in the Harry Potter film series, The Lost City of Z (2016), The Old Guard (2020), and The Pale Blue Eye (2022).
The filming for Pillion will commence in the United Kingdom soon. Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney, Emma Norton, Lee Groombridge, and Andrew Lowe will produce the movie. On the other hand, Cornerstone Films will take care of its global distribution. The film will also be released at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Stay tuned for more updates.
