Alexandre Aja’s upcoming horror project, Never Let Go, has locked a release date. The Halle Berry starrer will arrive in theatres on September 27, 2024.
Never Let Go revolves around a mother (played by Halle Berry) and her twin sons, who have endured unimaginable pain and torment from a malicious spirit for many years. However, things take a different turn after one of the boys starts questioning the authenticity of that spirit. This scenario severs their connection, enabling them to fight for their survival.
Deadpool & Wolverine helmer, Shawn Levy, is co-producing the film through his 21 Laps Entertainment banner, along with Dan Cohen, Alexandre Aja, and Dan Levine. The film’s script is written by the duo of Ryan Grassby and Kevin Coughlin.
Apart from Halle Berry, the film’s cast has young talents like Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV.
Never Let Go is Berry’s second feature project of 2024. She also stars alongside Mark Wahlberg in Netflix’s upcoming action comedy movie, The Union, scheduled to premiere on August 16, 2024.
Alexandre Aja is indeed one of the best horror directors in the genre. He has helmed prominent movies like The Hills Have Eyes (2006), Piranha 3D (2010), Horns (2013), Crawl (2019), and Oxygen (2021).
