Ali Abbas Zafar Bags the Remake Rights of This Jason Statham Movie

Ali Abbas Zafar has managed to get his hands on the remake rights of Jason Statham’s The Transporter. The notable director is known for helming Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bharat. Additionally, he is responsible for creating the Amazon Prime political thriller series, Tandav. He is currently busy filming Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the leads. This one will hit the theatres in December next year. Also, it is the first-ever Indian film to step into the Metaverse.

According to a close source, “Ali has been wanting to make The Transporter in Hindi for a while now and after prolonged discussions with the international studio, EuropaCorp, he has bagged the rights to make it in Hindi for a hefty amount. Ali will be directing the film himself and is excited to write the script for the Hindi-speaking audience.”

Apart from helming the Hindi remake of The Transporter, Zafar will also produce this one under his banner AAZ Entertainment. However, the director has not yet finalised the casting for the remake. The source has revealed that the casting procedure will commence after the completion of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s shoot.

Zafar has also wrapped up Shahid Kapoor’s Bloody Daddy. Although, multiple reports have claimed that this is a working title as the director wants to give a desi touch to the film’s title. This project marks the first collaboration between Zafar and Kapoor. All the events in this film will transpire in a single night.
